You will need a 4WD that has reasonably good ground clearance and also has a high/low transfer case. All-wheel drive vehicles are not suitable for our tours.

We will guide and assist you in the basic skills of 4WDriving to suit the terrain in which we will be travelling. So if you are a beginner with your first 4WD you can be confident that we will get you through every trip safely.

Tours will generally consist of between 6 to 8 cars including two of our own. We will provide a trip leader and tail end vehicle in every tour convoy.

You will get plenty of time to explore, bushwalk, take photographs and experience the splendour of the areas we visit.

A 4WD with factory ground clearance will suffice, however, we do suggest All Terrain tyres with at least 70% tread and a quality set of aftermarket springs and shock absorbers to improve ride comfort and control for these tours. For essential communication, a fitted 5W UHF radio is recommended however a 5W hand held radio will also suffice. We will require a pre-trip vehicle inspection to have been carried out.

No. Although some experience in operating a 4WD would be helpful, it is not essential for our tours. We will provide constant guidance on the track to build and improve your skills in operating your 4WD safely whilst you enjoy the breathtaking views of the countryside.

We try not to travel more than 300km per day. We discuss the following day’s events around the campfire at night and at our morning briefing sessions before departure. We are normally on the road by 9am each morning, stop for regular breaks during the day and try to arrive at the planned campground well before sunset.

We will do our best to get you going again but if we can’t, we will get you to where your vehicle can be repaired or arrange to have it recovered. We strongly recommend you have top cover with your state motoring association (RACV, NRMA, RACQ etc) and also take out travel insurance.

We may allow only heavy duty off road camper trailers on some of our tours. Some additional conditions do apply. Please contact us to discuss this further.

We are a family oriented business and children are most welcome on all our tours. They must, however, always be supervised by their parents/guardians.

Due to National Parks restrictions, pets are not allowed on our tours.

You will need to be self-contained for the duration of the tour to include food, water, fuel and other supplies. Once we receive your booking form and deposit, a comprehensive Tour Information Pack will be sent to you. This will contain all the information you will need as well as suggestions on how to safely pack your vehicle.

Our tours provide a mixture of Private Campgrounds, National Parks and Bush Camps. We attempt to stay at campgrounds with amenities that include hot showers, toilets and a kitchen. Details of camping facilities will be provided in your Tour Information Pack or you may contact us for further information prior to booking.

We are first aid certified and always carry a well-equipped first aid kit and a defibrillator. We are also equipped with a Satellite phone and a Personal Locator Beacon to be able to organise emergency evacuation if the need arises.

All camping costs (excludes cost of cabins), National Parks permits, any complete group side tours and welcome and farewell dinners are included in the price of the tour. On some of our tours, there may be an opportunity to enjoy individual side tours such as scenic flights which may be organised at your own expense.

Please proceed to the Bookings page on our website, and complete the Booking Form. Then you simply hit the Submit button and it will then be automatically emailed to us. It’s that simple.
